Get To Know Me

Hi! I'm Monique.

My journey into massage began way before I even knew I wanted to become a massage therapist. For a few years, I was in college working on a biology degree (science has always been my favorite subject), but then decided to take a break from school and went to work in retail.

After working in retail for a few years, I knew that I needed a more meaningful career. I wanted to be able to help people and bring value in a real way that would positively impact others.

Around the same time, a friend of mine gifted me a massage to help relieve my neck pain. I couldn't believe how much better I felt after that first massage! I knew in that moment that massage therapy was the career I wanted to be in. I knew I had found my calling! I love what I do and am honored to help so many people find relief from pain.

Please feel free to reach out to me via phone or email with any questions. I look forward to connecting with you soon!

What is the difference between medical massage and regular massage?

What's the difference?

Medical massage is the application of massage techniques to focus on improving conditions that have been diagnosed by a physician. It is a focused massage treatment to work toward increasing flexibility and mobility in specific problem areas.

What's a knot?

What is it?

A muscle knot is also known as a trigger point. It’s a small group of muscle fibers that have contracted locally in one spot in a bigger muscle bundle. That usually comes from chronically overuse of the muscle.

Why do I sometimes feel a numbness go down my arm?

What causes the tingling feeling?

Check with primary physician for diagnosis. The numbness or tingling feeling could be a tense muscle pushing on a nerve. Could possibly be thoracic outlet syndrome, peripheral neuropathy, carpal tunnel, or nerve impingement.

Will medical massage help me?

Yes it can.

Medical massage can help you relieve muscle tension. I can help you to relieve muscle tension and recommend remedial exercises to help you to become pain free.
